Day 2 decor was great. The set up was incredible. Day 3 I was just in love with everything from the mandap to the glass structure and the amazing florals, taking us into the reception I was in awe of the coroa room, the amazing florals, centrepieces, backdrop with fabric and cake- I noticed every detail. I loved that you gave us the dream wedding and worked so hard endless, you were there for everything we needed and I can honestly say I have never seen anything like this. Nous sommes un couple de français qui désirions se marier avec le thème années folles à Lisbonne. Il nous a confectionné un mariage de rêve, un véritable conte de fées. Chacun de nos invités est reparti en nous disant qu’ils avaient voyagé dans le temps et l’espace et que cela avait été le mariage le plus beau et le plus parfait auquel ils ont assisté. “Words alone will never be enough to truly describe how thankful I am for Rui. Our original wedding planner quit on us with just 6 weeks left until our wedding simply stating that she no longer felt that she could deliver the wedding we were envisoning. I was horrified and devastated. We had hundreds of guests traveling to Portugal for our wedding, and we were under so much pressure to figure it out. I scrambled to find another wedding planner on short notice, and serendipitously, I saw a post by Rui on my Instagram discovery page. Even more fatefully, it was also a destination wedding for another Middle Eastern couple. I knew it was late in the season, and most planners would not be available, but I sent Rui a VERY desperate Instagram DM explaining the situation, and he called me back within hours. We immediately got on a Zoom call, and he told me very honestly that it would be difficult, but not impossible, to pull this off. I immediately put all of my trust into Rui, and I am so glad I did. He and his team 100% saved our special day. We essentially had to plan the wedding from scratch, and honestly, it turned out even better than what we originally had planned. From the food, to the venue, to the entertainment, to the team on the ground, no one compares to Rui. His level of care and concern for us and our big day was second to none. “I’m not quite sure where to even begin with Rui because there’s just so much to say. My now husband and I hired Rui to plan our big fat Armenian wedding in Portugal. We live in the US, so I was a bit nervous about blindly hiring someone from afar, but I have zero regrets. Rui made every detail and second of our wedding week incredibly special. He’s truly an artist at heart, so nothing he does falls within the realm of conventional wedding planning. We knew we wanted a traditional Armenian wedding, we just didn’t know how to make that happen in a foreign country. Rui went above and beyond to learn about our culture, traditions, music, and food. He then incorporated parts of them into our wedding, adding his special touches along the way. It’s so evident that he is extremely passionate about what he does and even more passionate about making your wedding day an unforgettable production no matter the size. Our wedding festivities were 3 days, with 150 guests from out of the country. He managed everything A to Z, including situating full teams for hair and makeup for 30-40 Armenian women. That alone deserves an award! He’s a kind, respectful, and truly talented individual. By the end of the whole thing, Rui had become part of our big loud family. He made the wedding of our dreams a reality. I can’t recommend him enough!”

“We booked a wedding venue in Portugal and were given some suggestions of wedding planners. From the moment we saw Rui’s instagram we knew we had to speak to him. The photos on his page were so different to all of the others that we had seen and really stood out. We knew we didn’t want a completely traditional wedding but are not very creative ourselves and so needed help with ideas. We contacted Rui online and he responded immediately, I then had a call with Rui and from the moment we spoke I was sure he was the wedding planner for us. Rui spent time getting to know us and exploring what we envisaged for our day. The brief simply was that we would like a traditional and elegant ceremony and dinner followed by a massive party, and that’s exactly what Rui and his team delivered. We love to travel and go to festivals with one of our favourite festivals being Tomorrowland. Rui incorporated this into the day and it was just amazing. We and our guests were blown away. A number of our guests noted that the Rui had us down to a tee and that the day was exactly us. As well as delivering a day that we will never forget Rui and his team were professional and lovely, and looked after us and our guests on the day and beforehand from the minute we arrived in Portugal. We encountered some issues with regards to legalities and paperwork just before the wedding and I truly believe if we didn’t have Rui we would not have been able to get married and have the day that we dreamed of. He worked tirelessly to ensure that we had exactly what we wanted and more. Rui and his team will always be in our heart and we will be forever grateful to them.”

“Rui and his team planned our 20s-inspired wedding for approximately 250 guests at the Penha Longa Palace in Sintra. It was a beautiful, elegant event that far exceeded our own expectations, as well as that of every guest that we had at the wedding. What made it special was the extreme attention to detail, as well as the sequence of events that took place in different sections of the palace, each transporting our guests into an entirely different atmosphere with new surprises.

We began “wedding planner shopping” before the pandemic. We interviewed a total of 7 wedding planners, but Rui was the obvious choice to go with. He demonstrated great professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail (just to name a few reasons!). Wedding planning on its own is stressful, but then the Covid-19 pandemic began and you can multiply the stress by 100. This would have been a horrible situation, but thankfully we had Rui and he was wonderful. He handled these stresses and uncertainties with the utmost professionalism. He gave us so much confidence and made us feel comfortable and at ease with everything. Ultimately, he managed to throw us the most beautiful wedding we ever could have imagined, with a much shorter notice and a huge change in circumstances.

Rui really took the time to get to know us. Taking this extra step went SO far with how our wedding turned out — it was like he knew us and our taste, likes, and dislikes better than we knew ourselves. We told Rui what was important to us from the first day — good food, good music, and a fun time. We are “simple” people that appreciate minimalism, incorporating nature, and clean, elegant decorations. You could tell that everything Rui did for us and this day, he kept those important details at the forefront. Rui made executive decisions when he needed to, and they always matched our taste PERFECTLY. We put our full trust and confidence in Rui, and he amazed us and all of our guests. Rui is a problem solver and made our wishes come true, from small details to big details. He even made our wishes come true before we realized we even had those wishes! He had a solution to everything and was so prepared.

We feel so lucky that we had Rui plan our wedding. Rui is an award-winning wedding planner and it shows — with every detail, every interaction we had, and ultimately the seamless execution on the wedding day, I can confidently use the word “PERFECTION!” (And that’s crazy to think about as we were in the middle of a pandemic!!). “To say that the realization of our marriage was a challenge is an understatement. We married in August 2020, in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to make our situation even more difficult, my current husband is a non-European foreigner (and, unfortunately, marrying a foreigner in Portugal is quite simply a bureaucratic hell in which nobody knows how to proceed or what to do). So, I say with all my confidence, if it weren’t for WP Rui Mota Pinto, we would never have been married this year. Basically, our wedding date was always unknown (although we already had the bases previously decided), and with only 2 weeks in advance we managed to prepare our wedding party. More: it was not just any party. It was exactly the wedding I had always imagined and dreamed of since I was a little girl, I couldn’t have wanted anything more! Rui is always available and ready to help, recommends different types of suppliers depending on the style, but also the price we are willing to spend, and takes the weight off the extra concerns that we would have without him present.
